Dehumidifiers draw excess moisture out of the air. In buildings that are damp, or which experience mildew, a dehumidifier is the ideal way to preserve a comfortable and healthy living environment. Dehumidifiers are also superb at drying laundry. Many dehumidifiers contain extra features to help improve the quality of the air - such as filtration systems and built-in ionisers.

There are two main types of dehumidifier: the desiccant and the compressor. Desiccant dehumidifiers rely on an absorbant material to remove moisture form the air.

When selecting a dehumidifier, first consider the size of the space where you want to reduce moisture. Secondly, consider the strength of the dehumidification necessary.
